The first full translation of the holy Quran in Ukrainian language has been published in Simferopol, capital of Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

According to islam.in.ua, there have been partial translations of the Quran in Ukrainian, but this is the first translation of the entire Holy Book. It has been rendered by Valery Magafurovich Basyrov.

Speaking to the press, Mr. Basyrov said he was very pleased to have completed the translation successfully.

“Translating the entire Quran is the single most important achievement of my life as an author and translator,” he told the press.

“The verses of the Quran are so beautiful and profound that no one can render a translation capable of crating the same feeling in any other language,” he admitted.

Mr. Basyrov said that the translation would be presented at international book exhibitions around the world.
